 E-7 VISA (Special Occupation)

For an applicant who have contracts with public or private Korean organizations to work in areas specially designated by the Minister of Justice

VISA Type

It is a single entry visa and valid for 90 days from the date of issue.

If you used to have Korean nationality in the past, you first need to file the paperwork to renounce your Korean nationality (국적상실신고) in order to apply for any visa to Korea.  ※ If you have already done this procedure, keep reading the visa page.

● Eligible Applicant

Sponsors of visa applicants may submit relevant visa documents to the Ministry of Justice in Korea on behalf of their prospective employees. After the submitted documents have been reviewed and approved by the Ministry, visa issuance  numbers are given to the applicants. Once applicants obtain the numbers, they may bring the documents (listed below) to the nearest Korean embassy or consulate to receive the visa. However, it is important to note that the Consulate may request additional documents for verification purposes.

●  Required Documents

   1. Visa Application Form for those with Visa Eligibility Certificate (attached file)

       -Print out and fill out the form and please write name and signature at the bottom of the page

     2. Original Passport and a photocopy of passport

       - Original passport must have a validity of 6 months or more left

        - If you are not Canadian, photocopy of PR Card or other Canadian Valid Visa such as Work/Study Permit)

     3. 1 Colour Photo (size 3.5 x 4.5cm)

        -White background, date stamped taken within 6 months at the back of the photo

     4. Copy of Signed employment contract 

       - Employment Contract (Signed by both parties-applicant and inviting party)

     5. Visa Fee (Cash or money order)

        - $81 CAD for Canadians
